About

Stephanie Carbonetti, CG®, is a Board-certified genealogist located in the Chicago area. As a full-time professional genealogist, her research specialties include forensic genealogy, family histories, and problem-solving. She is a member of the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogists, serving on the board as Vice President, the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Chicago Genealogical Society, serving as 1st Vice President. Also, she has previously served on the Illinois State Genealogical Society Board and national genealogical conference committees. Currently, she is a mentor for the ProGen Study Group.

 

Stephanie has an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and a master’s from Loyola University Chicago. She is a sixth-generation Kentuckian, and thanks to her paternal grandmother’s love for sharing family history, she is continuing that same passion.

Stephanie adheres to the BCG, APG, and CAFG Genealogical Standards and Codes of Ethics.

Defining Your Project and Agreement

 

We will work with you by gathering background information and defining your project's research objective(s). After completing these steps, we will provide the cost and estimated timeframe.

 

Once agreed upon, a letter of agreement will be provided. When the signed agreement, retainer and prior research/records are received, research will start by the established date.   

Research & Reporting

Research and reporting will be completed to professional genealogy standards.

 

Final products to the client: Comprehensive source-cited genealogy research report, exhibits of pertinent documentation, research log, and family tree chart (if applicable).
